Back to work

Well, tonight is my last night of freedom before I head back to work. When school ended, I had a lot of mix emotions about staying at home. I just thought I wouldn't be able to handle it and wasn't really looking forward to it. Things have definetly changed! I really enjoyed staying home with Eli. There were days that proved to be a struggle, but there's always going to be. We stayed extremely busy with play groups, library, swimming and naps! I feel like we became really close this summer and now, it's coming to an end.
I think it hit me today at church. Eli had a really rough time staying in the nursery. He screamed and screamed b/c he wanted me. That started making me think about how he's just gotten so used to me staying at home with him that he doesn't want to be left with anyone else. (execpt grandparents, which is good b/c his grandma watches him during the school year!)
So, as I sit here and think about how I have to get up and be out the door by 7:30am, I'm getting really sad! I know that once I get back into the swing of things it will be ok, but pray for me this week! It's going to be a hard adjustment and I'm really struggling with it. The one thing that helps me is that he gets to go to grandma's house and he loves it over there! I'll let you know how it goes!

I know what you mean... Corey and I were reminding ourselves just the other night that we have got to be very patient these next couple weeks. Their little worlds are completely changing right now, going back to daycare full time (and kindergarten!) Be prepared for a clingy, clingy little man in the evenings. (When you are exhausted from clingy kindergartners!)

Have a great year if I don't see you! :)

I'll be praying for you Shannon! AND, on all the days you are SAD and wish you could be home all day with him, just ASSUME I'm having one of those BAD days...you know those days I'm leaving NOT SO NICE messages on Dave's phone (like it's his fault) and just WISHING I could drop them both off somewhere and GO TO WORK!!! It's tough on both sides...you just have to know in your heart that what you are doing is where God wants you!

I hope your week went well. It is tough to leave those little ones somewhere else--we do get so close to them during the summer!!!
