Catching up...

I really haven't been in the mood to blog lately! I don't know why...just have not been motivated to do it! Our lives have been pretty busy. Aaron started coaching wrestling in January and is still working on finishing the basement. On top of finishing the basement, he is working both of his jobs. Needless to say, we're missing him around here!Don't know why this picture has spots! This will be the little kitchen area. The other picture is the living area.

So...when Aaron is busy doing all of this important stuff, Eli and I are busy doing this...

Yep -- Eli and I are playing! He thinks it's hilarious to put on our shoes and run around the house. It doesn't matter to him that he wipes out all over!

Well...that's about it. Aarons is busy working--- and Eli and I are busy playing!

Update

I have had several of you email me and ask about Cora and what was going on. I thought this would be the easiest way to update you.

I mentioned before that they found lots of spots on her liver. They did more tests and found that the cancer is all over her body. She has Neuroblastoma and is at a Stage 4. The doctors are very optimistic that the chemo will get it....so we're still waiting and praying.

They were going to be able to take her home yesterday or today, but she had some seeping from her incision, so she went back into surgery to fix it. She is doing ok and is recovering from that. Hopefully they'll get to go home soon. The plan is to start chemo some time next week, after allowing her body more time to heal.

I am listing Jess's blog site where you can go and read about their journey. She does such a better job of explaining what is happening. She also has praises and prayer requests on there. Please check it out and KEEP PRAYING. The power of prayer is amazing and they are being surrounded by TONS of it!

Please Pray

I know a lot of you who read this know the family and know what's going on. However, I'm posting this for my family and friends that don't so the power of prayer can go even farther.

Some friends of ours, who also go to our church, have a 10month old little girl who was diagnosed with cancer. Her name is Cora and her parents are Joel and Jess. I can't imagine what they are going through and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about it. So all I can do is pray and pray hard. I'm asking that you help and pray for them as well.

Cora went through surgery on Friday to remove the mass, however they found spots on her liver and will start chemo on Monday. It is awful that this precious, innocent little girl has to go through this.

PLEASE PRAY, PRAY, PRAY for this little girl.

And the verdict is....

I had my first doctor's appointment today. My doctor did a sonogram b/c we weren't really sure when I was due and they couldn't find the heart beat. So...we did see the heart beat and saw what looked like a peanut! I'm around 7 weeks along and due August 27. This is subject to change when they do the sonogram at 20 weeks. He thought we might know better after that one. So the waiting continues! For right now we're going with the August 27th date! Lucky for me, we start school so much earlier than that, so I'll be able to start school with my kids! I'm going to try to post a picture of it, but I may not be successful!

More progress

Aaron's been working extremely hard on our basement. It's exciting to see the changes and anticipate it being done! Here are a few more pictures of what it looks like right now. A lot of the sheet rock is up and the plumming has been done. (I didn't take any pictures of that or the bathroom!!)

When you come down the stairs and turn to the right, you will be looking at this! It will be our kitchenette area!

Excuse the mess! Looking at the family area and down the hall.

And, as always, Eli is busy helping his daddy!
